Photograph from the excavations by Sp. Marinatos at the Grave Circle of Peristeria. The excavations, which lasted from 1961 to 1965, revealed tholos tombs with important finds, among which the oldest female figurine (of Minoan type) in Messenia, as well as a large number of golden items, small or larger.
