Phanari islet
The islet Pylos or Phanari of Tsihli Baba is located to the south of Sphakteria and blocks the Gulf of Navarino opposite from the port of Pylos. The French government erected in 1890 a monument for the French citizens who fell during the Naval Battle of Navarino.
