White vine initial 'P'(lutarchus) with putti and parrots(?), and matching borders incorporating a roundel depicting Hercules; putti, butterflies and birds; and the arms of the Maffei of Volterra family, at the beginning of Book 1 of Aulus Gellius's Noctes Atticae.
