Bronze Bell
A ninth-century bronze bell that is four-sided and rounded at the edges. It is splayed at the mouth and tapers towards the crown. The handle is not original and the clapper is missing. The bell was found in Co. Meath. Handbells were an important part of the early Christian Church. Handbells were often associated with individuals and were often preserved as relics of certain saints.
