Car cu boi: pictură realizată de Nicolae Grigorescu (1838 - 1907)

Nicolae Grigorescu, pictor de importanță națională, este fondatorul picturii moderne în România. Grigorescu a fost ucenicul lui Anton Chladek (miniaturist și portretist străin). Nicolae Grigorescu a fost supranumit „Nicu Zugravul” în perioada în care se ocupa cu pictura bisericilor. A studiat în Franța, la Paris și a fost membru al Școlii de la Barbizon.
