Clerys mannequin
In June of 1980, I took a summer job working in Clerys, a department store in Dublin.
My father was already working there so it felt familiar already. I spent my time working as a porter, doing whatever jobs needed to be done. That August, my father passed away, and when the time came for the summer contracts, I was not discontinued but instead employed to work further into the year.
